Sayer and England U19s runners-up in Sharjah

Peterborough Town CC's young off-spinning all-rounder Rob Sayer was part of the England U19s team that finished runners-up in triangular tournament Sharjah on Sunday, 22nd December.
Rob took 1-38 from 10 overs, took a catch and scored eight runs but England were beaten by 97 runs in the tournament final by Pakistan.
He tweeted after the game: "Gutted about today! But seriously enjoyed the tour with the lads, topped off with a team meal at TGI Fridays!!"
In the last group game on Friday 20th, he took 1-55 from 10 overs but scored a duck against Pakistan.
On Monday 17th, he hit 32 from 39 balls including two sixes despite England being surprisingly beaten by United Arab Emirates, he didn’t bowl in the UAE innings after earlier injuring his hip trying to take a catch.
England Under 19's management will now choose a squad to compete in the U19s World Cup which also takes place in the United Arab Emirates in early 2014.
