An excellent turn out over the last couple of months at the Thomas Deacon Academy (TDA) on Friday evenings. We will continue until Friday 28 March which will be the last session as the school then closes for Easter – it is a good cut off point to then moving outdoors.

Easter cricket camp:
We will be running our annual Easter outdoor cricket on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 April 2015 at the Cricket Club from 9:30 am to 4pm each day.
All Junior Easter 2015 Camp details are on the attached form. Please complete and return with payment to reserve your place. Email me back is OK too. I will have forms to hand out this Friday also – please forward the form and details onto anyone that you think might be interested for their children. For those boys in County squads there are half day County training session for each age group all of w/c 6 April so no dates were ideal for our cricket but I do hope that these boys will be able to share their time with both.

We will start weekly outdoor Friday sessions in April:
U11 and U9 boys on Friday 24 April 2015 from 6:30 to 8pm.
Under 15s and Under 13s will start on Monday 20 April 2015 from 6:30 to 8pm.

Membership of the Cricket club for 2015 is as follows:
Membership for school years 5 to 10 = £40
Weekly training fee to through to September = £45
Total £85

For school years 4 and below it will remain as a £3 training fee to be paid on each Friday evening.

For those joining the club (school year 5-10) the £85 can be paid to me when you see me next or there will be a junior registration night on Thursday 16 April from 7pm to 9pm – I will be at the club between these hours to collect all payments. I also attach a Junior Application Form Summer 2015 for downloading, completion with your payment please

We will be starting Junior Cricket this summer for children of Reception School age up. We have not always taken children in reception, years 1 and 2 in the past but from this summer we will be starting dedicated cricket for these age of children on Fridays. Again can you please pass this onto anyone you know and maybe the schools your children attend. Any prospective parents with children who have questions can contact me on 07793535683 or by email. Summer fixtures:
Age groups fixtures are presently being finalised through March. These will be given to the respective age group managers early April and they will then communicate out to parents of the children in those age groups

Child Welfare:
Ritu Kundaje (mother of Rohan who is the Under 11s) has taken on the responsibility of Child Welfare Officer for the Club. For anyone who wants to contact her, her details will be on our website shortly but she is also contactable at ritsd@hotmail.com and 07720 058794

Lastly for any parents who have contacts or are involved with local (national too !) businesses who might be interested in various cricket club sponsorship packages we have then please again do contact me. As I am sure you can appreciate clubs like ourselves require sponsorship to sustain all we do whether it be seniors, juniors or to support the clubs overall infrastructure. Any parents who have a “lead” I will be pleased to hear from and discuss
