PTCC are Peterborough Telegraph Sports Awards winners

PTCC won the Peterborough Telegraph Sports Awards 2013 Team of the Year award on Friday, 31 January 2014.

At the presentation evening at The Cresset, a group of 1st X1 players led by captain Lewis Bruce, Ajaz Akhtar, Jamie Smith along with chairman Brian Howard, picked up the award - initially voted for by the public, with the winner picked from a top three by the PT sports team. PTCC are Peterborough Telegraph Sports Awards 'Team of the Year' for 2013

Former club legend Ajaz Akhtar, who left PTCC after 28 season after the 2013 season was pipped to the Sports Personality of the Year Award by Peterborough Lions Rugby Club chief Andy Moore (although he has won it previously).

Ajaz was a recent signing for the newly-formed Cambs League Ketton Lions team for 2014.
