Peterborough Town claim Northants League double

Peterborough Town claimed both the Northants League Premier Division crown and Division 2 title on Saturday, 1st September as both teams won to stretch their already healthy leads too far for anyone to catch them with two games to go.

Ajaz Akhtar, in his last year before stepping down as 1st XI captain led his men to the elusive Premier Division crown after just missing out in previous years.

Bob Milne led his 2nd XI team to the Division 2 title after only having won promotions from Division 3 the previous year and Division 4 two years before that.
