The schedule has been announced for the HCB Ltd Twenty20 Jaidka Cup 2014 and there are some changes to the competition this year including pink balls being used and coloured clothing an option for teams:
13 teams will compete in the twenty over cup, with matches taking place on Wednesday evenings, beginning on 21st May, with the final scheduled for 25th June.
Most notably, teams can create IPL franchise-style names, and PTCC will be known as The Peterborough Town Newflames, playing in our navy blue and gold kit.
In the first round, PTCC travel to March Crows on Wednesday, 21st May, and could face Yaxley Cuckoos or 2013 winners Wisbech Wildcats in the quarter-finals.
Full first round draw - matches played on 21st May:
Barnack v Burghley Bears, Royal Challengers Bournegalore v Ketton Lions, Yaxley Cuckoos v Wisbech Wildcats, March Crows v Peterborough Penguins, Nassington Knights v Ufford Park.
Quarter-finals take place on 4th June, semi-finals on 11th and 18th June, followed by the final at a venue to be decided on 25th June.
