2016 update: New 1st XI captain, pre-season/training and a legend returns...

Following the PTCC AGM in early January, we have a few updates to kick off the new year...
2016 captains:
- Saturday 1sts - David Clarke (taking over from Lewis Bruce - read more)
- Sat 2nds - Bob Milne
- Sat 3rds - Mohammed Azhar
- Sun 1sts - Jamie Smith
- Sun 2nds - tbc

Pre-season training:
Junior nets start Friday, 16th January at Thomas Deacon Academy from 6pm:
From 6-7.30pm it’s U9s and U11s training (school year 6 and below) and from 7.30-9pm it’s the turn of the U13 and U15 squads.
Sessions will be held every Friday until 8 April.
Cost of each session is £5.

Club legend returning to Bretton Gate
PTCC legend Ajaz Akhtar is returning to play for the club in 2016 after two seasons with Ketton Lions and Market Deeping. A quote from an interview with Alan Swann for peterboroughtoday.co.uk:
“Playing away from Town made me realise just what a strong, well-run club they have been for years. I want to make sure I enjoy the final years of my career so I’m looking forward to going back and helping a very talented team to win the league again.”
Fixtures:
- Pre season friendlies confirmed for both 1s and 2s away to Kibworth CC on Saturday 16th April.
- We have entered National 45 Over competition, and are home to Leighton Buzzard CC on Sunday, 24th April.
