2015: PTCC season review and awards
Posted by Richard Kendall on 18 November 2015
So that was the 2015 cricket season for Peterborough Town Cricket Club, no big trophies this year with the 1st XI finishing a 'disappointing' second after 3 successive Northants Premier League titles.
But there was plenty to celebrate and be proud of amongst our senior and junior teams, and it was all rounded off with our club dinner and awards night on 6th November at The Bull Hotel in Peterborough. See a photo gallery from the night.
Here are our award winners:
- Saturday 1st XI Player of Season: Joe Dawborn - who also received a presentation in honour of his 10-wicket haul along with the only other Twon player to achieve the feat in the 1st XI - Dave Remnant (below left), compered by Andy Abbott.
- Saturday 2nds: skipper Bob Milne
- Sunday 1sts: Marcus Howard
- Sunday 2nds: Ahsan Azhar
- Saturday 3rds: Sheeraz Ali
- Clubman: youth coach Paul Barker
- Young Player: Connor Parnell
- and a big thank you to all our sponsors, coaches, supporters, parents, our hard working chairman (amongst many other roles) Brian Howard, and another big hug for super tea lady Julia French.
See you all in early 2016...
